A date for your diary
Thursday 9th December 2021
Age Concern Birmingham will be holding a music and social event
in the Community Café on Thursday 9th December between 11am and 1pm.
The free event will feature singer Helen Pearson, who has performed in the Café
on a previous occasion, her singing of old-time favourites going down really
well and creating a lovely atmosphere. The music event will also include
special offers in the Café for this part of the day, so please join us for
lunch and enjoy the fabulous entertainment created by Helen’s singing.
2pm-4pm Sutton Coldfield NNS Community Showcase Event
In the afternoon, Sutton Coldfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme
(SCNNS) is holding an event to showcase some of the groups and organisations
which have been supported by SCNNS during the past 3 years. Stands and tables
in the Community Café will feature the work of a selection of some of these
community assets who have benefited from grants and development support from
our team. This event will also provide an opportunity to meet colleagues from
Birmingham Adult Social Care as well as a chance to network, pick up useful
information and enjoy the entertainments from our assets. Weather permitting,
there will be more live music under our gazebos outside of the Café on Boldmere
Road including Christmas carols.
Our small team is run through a partnership between Age Concern
Birmingham and Compass Support. The SCNNS supports the development of community
assets aimed at older people over 50 and also at people between age 18 and 49
who have additional needs. We are interested to meet and talk to residents of
Sutton Coldfield and to all organisations and partners who work with these
groups across the constituency.
For the NNS afternoon event, please let us know in advance that
you would like to come by using this EventBrite link.
