Heal Hub Project

We
would like to inform you of an exciting project called Heal Hub that will be taking place over the next few months and to ask for your support with spreading the word within your networks.

The project is being delivered across the seven local authorities that comprise the WMVRU region (Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton) and provides direct access to weekly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions for 24 weeks. These sessions will be delivered virtually, with an option of face to face sessions if needed and young people will also be able to borrow devices to engage in therapy sessions.

We are aiming to work with PRU’s, alternative provisions, youth offending services and other local partners who work with or are in contact with young people who are deemed to be high risk. Young people can self-refer to the project, or they can be referred through a parent/carer, teacher, keyworker or other professional. Once the young person is referred and assessed, they will have the opportunity to choose their own therapist, ensuring they feel comfortable disclosing and talking through the issues they are facing and sessions will be held at a time suitable for them.

Heal hub places the young person and the centre of the project, providing a safe space for individuals to talk through unresolved issues and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Criteria for referrals into the project (this list is not exhaustive so if you know a young person who may be in need of this support please do get in touch via the details below) :

·        Young people who have been excluded

·        Young people at risk of exclusion

·        Young people who are at risk of engaging in, or being victims of violence

·        Young people not currently engaging in education or training

Referrals are now being received and can be made via the following:

Young people to self-refer- mh@lyfeproof.co.uk

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need clarity on any of the above.
