Celebrating Success Awards in Birmingham

The Annual Adult Social Care & Health Celebrating Success Awards recognising excellence in practice took place on 15th December 2022.  The Awards were hosted by Professor Graeme Betts who was joined by Councillor Mariam Khan at the H Suite which was attended by over 60 staff.  The Awards were also broadcast live via MS Teams which was watched by nearly 100 people!

We will not talk about the grand finale which was a lot of fun (if you know, you know), thankfully we all have fantastic day jobs!

This year, 18 nominations were received which featured individuals and teams who have made an irrefutable impact on the citizens of Birmingham or in the support function of staff providing services.  The nomination form is based on the ODP (Owning and Driving Performance) GROW Model and were then scored by volunteers from the Citizen Involvement Team.  Specific indicators of excellence in practice included: embracing new ways of working; being person centred; going the extra mile; making a positive impact and working collaboratively with citizens & communities.

Nominations were then split into the following groups:  Individual (non social work), Individual (social work), Teams (social work) and Teams (non social work).  All our nominees received a certificate.

The winners of each category received chocolates from Hotel Chocolat as a token of appreciation and a “Thank You” from Birmingham City Council.

We are pleased to announce the winners were:
