East Africa is experiencing a devastating food crisis due to climate change, ongoing conflict and the global cost of living crisis. Children and their families across the region are at high risk of malnutrition. Up to 300,000 people are facing starvation and death in Somalia alone.
Save the Children is working with our partners and local communities in many of the countries that are the worst affected. However, the international community must act and act immediately to save lives both now and in the long-term.
That is why Save the Children UK is planning a day of action in its Sutton Coldfield shop (53 Birmingham Road, B72 1QQ) on Friday the 10th of February from 12-4pm.
We will be collecting signatures and messages of support from local people to show that there is widespread concern about the critical situation and a desire for more action. There is no time to wait.
