Adam Warden works for Sport Birmingham,
a charity and Sport England funded partner working across the city. Their primary
function is to support the Sport and Physical Activity infrastructure in
Birmingham, creating more accessible opportunities and connecting organisations
to resources and funding to ensure we have a sustainable and resilient sector.
Adam and colleagues are launching a Club Together Network in Sutton Coldfield on Tuesday 14th March at 6pm.
Adam told us:
As part of the legacy from the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, we have been tasked with setting up and funding Club and Community Sports Networks across the city. The aim of these networks is to:
- Help
communities build stronger and safer provision, to engage inactive
and more diverse audiences.
- Develop
a collaborative network for community organisations to share, connect
and innovate across their local spaces.
- Empower
clubs to take ownership of their network, building relationships with
audiences and providing a united voice for their communities.
The launch session will be held at Sutton Coldfield Tennis Club, Highbridge Road, Wylde Green, B73 5QB and will be an opportunity for local clubs to come together and discuss the needs and opportunities for the area, as well as exploring how to access funding to support your ideas.
