Responder (Based in Police Custody), where you will
engage with DA
Perpetrators in Police Custody as part of the reachable/teachable moment
service delivery to discuss their offending behaviour and work to reduce
the risk to the DA victim.
Looking for at least 3
years professional experience of similar role is required to apply for this
position.
What we are looking for
• At least 3 years professional experience of similar role
working with Domestic Abuse Perpetrators and Victims.
• Experience of completing DA
Perpetrator risk assessments and safeguarding victims, children, and
families
• Experience of providing support,
advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs
• Experience of engaging successfully
with challenging people such as DA perpetrators
• Experience in negotiating with
partner agencies to establish links to further the aims of a project
• Knowledge of risk factors
associated with perpetrators of domestic abuse
• Knowledge of up-to-date housing,
criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic abuse
• Excellent interpersonal,
relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written
