The citywide Birmingham Disability Festival taking place this year at Aston University on Saturday 5th July 2025 12pm til 6pm.

We have loads of fantastic activities, performances, interactive workshops and games / sports and spotlight on Human Books planned for the day .

People that attended our first ever citywide disability festival last year shared with us some amazing feedback that enables us to keep pulling together to bring this festival back to Birmingham each year.

The event is free and we have a day of exciting activities with every single person that is with us being proud to show how they are getting on with living their best lives here in Birmingham.

We have the following lined up:-

Visit from the WMCA Mayor Richard Parker - from 12pm till 1pm

Comedia

Poet

Dancing

Dance performance

Human Books

Sports including wheelchair basketball, pan ability football, inclusive tennis, soft axe throwing, inclusive tennis and more

Art Workshops 

Circus skills workshops and performances

Art Exhibition

Book Readings

Alpacas and goats

We will be sharing information over our social media channels and via email soon with more details on timings and how to get to the venue and where things will be located on site.

It will be a 'bring your own picnic' event but there are lots of food venues around the site plus there will be food from the Aston University Catering team on site available at cost.

We just want you to come along and join in and have the best day ever in July with us to celebrate Pride in being disabled!

As part of Ways for Wellbeing UK's ongoing commitment to an Annual Birmingham Disability Festival we need funds to make this happen.
