Soul of Sutton Photography Competition

The Soul of Sutton Photography Competition is back! To celebrate #WorldPhotoDay, we’re inviting amateur photographers of Sutton Coldfield to submit images which capture the unique character of our Royal Town.

Residents age 13 years and over* can enter one of two categories, 13 - 17 years and 18 years & over, and choose from these themes:

Creativity and Culture in Sutton Coldfield

Sutton through the Seasons

Celebrating life in Sutton Coldfield

Enter to be in with a chance of winning a £100 One4all Gift Card with the potential to have your images showcased!

Submit your images before midday on the 10 September by emailing enquiries@suttoncoldfieldtowncouncil.gov.uk, with your name, the location and a short description of the photo. You could also direct message us on social media or tag us on Instagram @RSCTC.

* Please note that as the age for social media subscribers is 13+, the competition is restricted to residents age 13 and over as the entries will be shared on the Town Council’s social media channels.

You're invited to a guest lecture on US labour history

THURSDAY 21st AUGUST, 17.00-19.00

Join us this Thursday evening in the Archive rooms at Birmingham and Midland Institute for a lecture on US labour history by American activist and friend of the BPHA Kyle Pettis.

Attendance is open to all and free of charge, and will be followed by a social nearby.

On Heritage Day, Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Hall will once again open its doors to the community, offering a rare behind-the-scenes experience, including exclusive access to backstage areas, rooftop views of Sutton Coldfield, and a close-up look at our iconic clock tower. Visitors will enjoy guided tours, live theatre entertainment, and more.

Admission is FREE, and we expect a high turnout from across the region.
