On Saturday 25th September members of the Sutton Coldfield Neighbourhood Network Scheme delivery team from Age Concern Birmingham and Compass Support were on the main shopping parade at Sutton Coldfield Expo. Expo is an annual street-based exhibition of local organisations that provide services to the local community.
Our team were there to meet the public as well as local assets and partners from the constituency. We surveyed local people about their interests and needs as well as promoting the NNS network and the services of our partner organisations. It was nice to welcome David Wilson to his first NNS event, David is our new Digital Inclusion Officer and he had many useful conversations with members of the public and partners.
Other members of the NNS team present on Saturday included Keat Moore, Suzy Summerfield and Pete Millington.
It was fantastic to meet up with partners from local assets, especially as we have not had face-to-face contact with one another for so long during the Covid period, when Zoom and Teams were the main way of networking. The weather was also in our favour and the sun shone down on Sutton Coldfield all day.
