Celebrating a busy February Funding Panel meeting...

Sutton Coldfield NNS had a very busy funding panel meeting earlier in the month!

We are very pleased to announced the following community groups and organisations were successful with their funding applications for the following projects...

Mubu Music

Will be delivering free guitar, and ukulele lessons, with complimentary instrument hire, to older adults in Falcon Lodge as part of a wider intergenerational project.

Birmingham Wheelchair Basketball

Will be setting up an accessible sports hub at Wyndley Leisure Centre, with two sessions running weekly (daytime and evening). This will give local disabled adults the opportunity to engage in a range of different sports.

The Community Environmental Trust

Will be offering older citizens the opportunity to join a group boating activity on the canal in Minworth. There will be potential for interested community groups around Sutton Coldfield to be collected by minibus.

Our Place Support

Will be expanding their capacity to support older citizens and carers to engage in social activity, and have a helping hand navigating home and life administration tasks such as form filling.

Sutton Coldfield United Reformed Church

Will be supporting Carers through their twice monthly support group, offering helpful and informative talks, a hot lunch and a relaxing massage.

Successful Ageing

Have been funded to continue their fantastic health and wellbeing support sessions held in Falcon Lodge and Four Oaks.

CONGRATULATIONS!
